Giving Thanks
Fr William Ousley OMI led the community in the following Prayer of Intercession at the Foundation liturgy.

The foundation of Iona College was characterised by a strong sense of vision and resolve. Not afraid of hard work and fully committed to the establishment of a new Catholic school, the Oblate Fathers and many committed others were grateful for the gift of the land and the prospect of a new Oblate contribution to the Church and Catholic education in Queensland.
We pray that our appreciation of Church and our resolve to share in her mission may continue to stay strong in our Oblate tradition.
