Book of Remembrance

Book of Remembrance

Especially during the month of November each year, the Catholic Church has a beautiful tradition of praying for those who have departed this world.  Significantly, 1 November is the Solemnity of All Saints (All Saints Day) and 2 November is The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls Day).  As a wonderful tradition at Iona College in November, we have our own Book of Remembrance containing the names of people we want to remember and pray for.

This book will have a prominent place in our college chapel.

If you are a member of the Iona College community and you would like the name of a special person included, please enter their name below:

“Praying for the dead is, first and foremost, a sign of appreciation for the witness they have left us and the good that they have done.  It is giving thanks to the Lord for having given them to us and for their love and their friendship.”

Pope Francis
