Years 11 and 12

In Years 11 and 12, students embark on the post-compulsory phase of schooling.

At Iona, students have the choice of selecting an OP pathway, a vocational education pathway, a school-based apprenticeship or a pathway into the workforce.

As a Catholic school, we believe that each person has God-given gifts, talents and identity and therefore we can cater a program to suit all students. This makes the senior phase a very exciting stage for our students.  Students select a course from the following range of subjects.  All students must study one English, one Mathematics and one Religion course.

Many students experience their senior years of study as being among the best of their lives.  Academic success and intellectual and human development are linked with involvement and therefore, in addition to focusing on their studies, we encourage our students to participate in and make a contribution to the religious life and co-curricular activities of the college. In this way, they ensure their final years of schooling are memorable and rewarding.
